*scream* I'm 18 today! Not officially yet, I was born at 9.55pm, so that's when we "officially" say I'm a year older. I don't feel that different, which is good, I think. So far, I have got a WWI photographs/info book (very interesting - no, I'm not being sarcastic), a pair of cute green high heels from, a charm bracelet, a regular bracelet, my purple Paul Frank T-Shirt (wahey!), a tin of chocolate and The OC Mix 5 CD. I think that's it....oh yeah, and a cute little stamp (not the kind you put on letters, a smiley face one I can stamp onto calendars and stuff, I'll take a picture of it later to post here). We have to go and pick up my digital camera later on, because we missed the delivery (I was in bed, Mum was at her swimming class), I can't wait to see it! At last, my own  digi cam, I won't have to borrow Dad's old one all the time.

We're waiting for my sister to come home so we can go and do the birthday meal (at Pizza Express, yay!) and then we'll do the cake afterwards (all chocolate, mmmm!) -- you'll be seeing pictures! *grin*

See you later

Phillie.

Congratulations me, I was officially 18 as of an hour ago. The second half of my birthday wasn't quite as relaxed, actually it was quite chaotic and I had to go into my room to take refuge for a few minutes a couple of hours ago. Vicki wasn't around to sing Happy Birthday, she was getting ready to go out again. Mum sang it herself (while putting up the curtains) but she was the only one singing and the whole thing felt like a bit of a let down. It annoyed me that everyone seemed to be going at their own pace (too quick (Andrew) too slow (Dad), or absent (Vix)) when it was my birthday and my birthday cake and I just wanted everyone to be united to sing me that song and watch me blow out the candles at once but it just didn't happen. I know that sounds selfish, but it's my birthday, the one day of the year I'm allowed to be, right? I have subsequently, over the past couple of hours, been singing "Happy Birthday" to myself under my breath. It almost made me feel better.

Anyway, my camera is really good, so I've got some cool pictures to show you of my presents.

Wednesday January 4th
Don't expect millions off the lottery, but certainly look for a good break or a light at the end of one tunnel. This is definitely your lucky day in however small a way. There will be a lilt in your step and a twinkle in your eye. You’ll mix happily into team situations now as your enthusiasm inspires everyone around. Very tolerant of difference, you will adore having masses of different people from different backgrounds on tap.

IF ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY TODAY your year ahead will be lucky, friendly, forward looking, a year of new friends and high hopes. You will need to be careful over finances especially since those close may not be as generous as they have in the past. So you’ll be relying on your own resources. There may be muddles as well since you won’t always concentrate on details and could be overly generous. You’ll be looking great and picking up compliments and fun invitations.

Weekly Outlook from 2nd January
There should be at least the odd half hour when you can relax with no one nagging at you to be dutiful. Your relationship with people in authority should be good as they suddenly seem to be in better humour than recently. Just watch a tendency to fit in with whoever is taking the strong position around you, just for the sake of peace and quiet. You do want to pour oil on troubled waters but you also need to stand up for your own rights.

Today
There are things to do and masses of meetings to go to and if you don't know how to juggle all your appointments, you'll learn fast. But watch out, computers and other electronic equipment may go on the blink. Your car, too, could need a service now.

This week
A dynamic week when your energy levels soar and developments have a distinctly uplifting effect on your life. You're glowing with confidence and your powers of self-expression have never been better. Life becomes unusually hectic but you'll positively thrive with the activity of it all.

Month ahead

Boy, are you busy! Whether you've got your family round, getting more involved with the affairs of your children or giving parties for your friends, you'll certainly be working your socks off over the next few weeks. Don't expect to sit down just yet, though, because this level of activity is likely to continue at least for a few more weeks. On a personal level, Venus ups your desirability quotient and makes you irresistible. Lucky you - you're attracting admirers from far and wide.
