Panic! At Brixton Academy
Oct. 22nd, 2006 01:24 pmWoot! I'm back! It was great! Well, parts of it was. Panic! were great, Spencer looked dead sexy with stubble and his shirt unbuttoned, Jon was all mysterious and cool, Ryan looked so cute and perfect with his pageboy hat, scarf and Clockwork-Orange-esque eye make up, and he got a smooch on the cheek halfway through the set from the-even-more-charismatic-and-charming-in-reality Brendon Urie, who played guitar, piano, sung and danced absoultely brilliantly. Their performance was great, they opened with Time To Dance, then London, then Nails, then Camisado, then Karma Police, then The Only Difference..., then Lying, then there was a break and I think they came back and did the BBIYD and IWSNT, Tonight Tonight, There's A Good Reason (My personal favourite performance Brendon stopped singing halfway through the song (after "i bet to them you look like sh-") and danced with the dancers, it was AMAZING and I screamed along with all the fangirls as he did it) Esteban and lastly BGTWT. I'm not entirely sure of this order because I was shoved about quite a bit and missed a couple of the songs through trying to find space to breathe etc. I was stood about 5 metres from the stage, and consequently was shoved about quite a bit, especially by one *bleep* of a guy who shoved his way through from quite far back and then stole my place behind barricade. My sister and I did the best we could to shove him back and elbow him and stand on his feet and what not, but in the end I had to watch the last few songs between the shoulders of him and his equally annoying mate.
I sweated loads and it was hard on my feet and legs, but it was a great first experience of a Panic! concert, and we made a lot of memories, which is on of the more important things I guess. I got a gorgeous pink T-shirt to commemorate the night, and I had great fun afterwards with my sister and her boyf.
My pictures aren't that great, (I'm only 5'3" so had obvious difficulty getting good pics over everyone's heads), but my sister got some really, really good ones, which she is going to send me soon, which is nice of her. I'll share them here first of course!
Edit: I've just realised how much my arms hurt -- I didn't realise all that shoving and camera-holding would come back to haunt me!
