McFly!

I'm gonna update before I forget everything.

Like I said yesterday, I was getting picked up at 5.45, and I was, after a quick rush back down to my house because I'd forgotten my glasses. Then, I met KT and her two friends, who were coming to the gig with us. The album was already when I got in the car, because KT was trying to teach the other two the words (they didn't know them that well, haha, I knew every one!). The trip up to Plymouth was cool, we chatted about Busted and McFly and school and other stuff, it was nice. We got to the Pavillions at around 6.40 I think, and made our way through the crowds, feeling very giddy and giggly. When we got inside, KT bought a programme, and I made my way over to the merchandise stand ( I had to put my glasses on to see the merchandise, my eyes are that bad) and I bought a couple of badges.

Then we all went on a trek for some other loo's since the others were desperate to go and the queue was so long.. That was funny, we kept running up and down all these random places until we found the loo's for the pool spectators, and they all went there - and there was no-one else in those loo's!Haha.

Then they bought some drinks and stuff and we headed over to the hall. Our seats were cool, we were on the tiered layer, row H. It was quite far away, but we did have a great view of the stage. We sat there for ages, while all the other people came in. The people at the front, or somewhere, kept screaming when the roadies came on to put up the mikes and stuff. It was really funny. Then Carleigh, Sam and KT started playing 'Bogies!', which was funny.

They kept building up the tension by playing all this music, and then suddenly it went dark, and the first support band, 5Boyz, came on. They were good, they threw out teddies and stuff into the audience and got a good reaction.

Then it was 24/7 who annoyed me. They had this guy who had his shirt open and was acting all stupid on stage. He was playing the tambourine. The other two had guitars and weren't so annoying to watch.

Anyway, after the supports, there was an interval thingy until around 9pm, when McFly came on. When the lights went off everyone screamed like mad, even me, I was really hyper by then. They kept us waiting for aaaaaaaaaaages until they finally started with Saturday Night, which was very cool. They went straight from that into Down By the Lake. The lights went out after that, the screaming continued. Then the lights came back up and they did the whole 'How are you Plymouth...?' thing. Tom explained that he had a cold, and he was sorry cos he wanted to sing properly for us and he had a bunged up nose, and we all 'aww-ed' and then they played another song, which I can't quite remember...

The next thing I remember, was Harry's drum solo. (*grin*) After the song I can't remember, the lights went off again, and then suddenly all you heard were the drums. The lights came up on Harry, who was rising off the stage on this platform. It was reeeeally cool! Then Dougie came on and did a little bass thing (he was soooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!) to join up with Harry, and soon after Danny and Tom ran on and they started playing Met This Girl.

Again, my memory fails me, but I think they played Obviously next, which really got the crowd bouncing away and singing along. The real crowd pleaser was That Girl tho'....that might have been the song I've forgotten but it was amazing. When people heard the opening 'da-da-da-da da' bit, they went insane. Everyone was singing along.

She Left Me was cool, Tom and Danny crooning away. I think I sat down then, having got up only after encouragement by Carleigh. It was very nice to hear live. At the end, before Tom had managed to sing the 'I can't believe...she's gone' bit or whatever, everyone was screaming and he had to wait until they'd calmed down to sing the ending.

I'm just writing about these in the order I remember, it may not neccessarily be the right order. I remember She Loves You next, even tho' that was quite near the end. They got Dougie to speak, he said "This song was written by Jesus..." or something, about She Loves You, and he said something else, but I don't think I really got it. The song really got people on their feet again, they were all bouncy and stuff.

I just remembered Not Alone...that was sooooo sweet to hear. Danny introduced it and said about when he wrote it and stuff. I couldn't really hear what he said, but when the song came on I was singing along as loud as I could. I love that song.

Now I remember Room on the Third Floor. They played that just before the encore. Tom said it'll be their next single, out November 19th they said. Something like that. That was cool to hear. I sang along again, really loud. At the end they made us sing along with the 'na na na na''s, and that was funny cos they kept the 'da da da da da da da da...' , you know, the build up to the na na's?, going for ages, to build it up, and we all sang it really loud.

Right, after the interval they played brocolli and 5 colours, but I'm trying to remember the other stuff they played before. Oh of course, Surfer Babe. Harry, with a little mike by his drum kit, said "Yo Plymouth, I wanna know something, are there any Surfer Babe's in the audience?"...and then we all screamed our heads off and they played it, which was so cool and high energy. That was the song I forgot about before, the third one.

*checks for any other songs*

What were the other songs they played before the interval?

Oh of course, Hypnotised. That was cool. Dougie got out his aqua coloured bass and sat on the steps for that one, while Tom and Danny song, and Harry drummed away. I loved the bit when Harry came down from the drum kit to the front of the stage. So many people were taking pictures of him, it was insane, haha. He was being all cute and posh, and then Tom asked him to sing. I thought he would for a second, and then he ran back up to the drum kit and they started to play again. There's one more song I've forgotten. They didn't play Unsaid Things, so what was the other one? *thinks* I must have miscounted, I think I've mentioned them all.

Anyway, we were all left waiting for the encore, everyone on the tiered seats were stamping and cheering, it was really cool. They came back on and played Broccolli, which was really funky live, I loved it. Dougie kept jumping and twirling and running and thrusting himself across the stage, which was really cool. I didn't see his tattoo that everyone says he's got but oh well. I'm sure I will soon....

Then Tom said this really was the last song they were gonna play, and of course it was Five Colours In Her Hair. Everyone went loony, not only because it was the last song but because it was just so high energy. Everyone went insane for them, jumping and screaming for them. And at the end, just before the lights dimmed, Harry threw his hands up in the air, which I did at the same time, haha. I didn't copy him, I was just so into it by then. It seems cheesy by now but I was just so excited.

After they came off, they played Jet, Are You Gonna Be My Girl, which I sang along to as we left the Hall place, I love that song so much, it was a great song for the beginning of the come down.

Then me and KT made our way back through the crowds (we'd lost Sam and Carleigh), with a brief detour so KT could buy some stickers. When we got out we found Sam and Carleigh, and, inspired by them, KT bought a T-Shirt and a tag thingy. We wondered around a bit, had a quick look at KT's pictures, and then left Sam and Carleigh, who were going to get picked up. Me and KT wandered around the car park, looking for my dad. I bought a v.cool red McFly t-shirt, which actually fits me!

We eventually found Dad, or he found us. He bought me a poster and then we headed home. Me and KT talked about loads of stuff like Muse, McFly, school on the way back home. That was nice cos when we went to see the Terminal we didn't get to talk much, and I like catching up with her.

We dropped her home at around 11-ish, and then we went home. I went to bed without brushing my teeth or anything, I was just too tired. I put on the McFly album and just drifted off (well, I drifted off after the album finished, well after, I can't seem to sleep properly at the moment) to the sound of McFly, remeniscing and feeling happy, although my ears still felt a bit weird.

I had a lurrrrrvely lie in this morning, and have come straight from my breakfast to give you this report. Hoped you liked.

Plan for today is school. Boo. I also have the orthodontist today, which'll be cool, I wanna see if I'm making any progress. That reminds me, I've got to turn my brace today. REMEMBER.

Speak to you all later. I won't be back until after 5, because of my Shorthand class. Whooppee.

P-Dude.
